Privacy Policy

Gemwright (“we”, “us”) is a web app at gemwright.studio for designing jewelry in 3D. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account information. If you choose to sign in, we receive your email address. If you sign in with Google, we also receive your name and profile picture from your Google account. We do not receive your Google password or access to any other Google data.
• Your designs. When you are signed in, the designs you save to your portfolio (the design settings and a small preview image) are stored with your account so you can open them on any device.
• Data kept in your browser. Without an account, your current design, saved designs, photos and preferences are stored only in your browser’s local storage. They are not sent to us.
• Usage data. We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how the app is used (for example, which features are used and where people get stuck). Clarity may collect information such as clicks, scrolling, pages viewed, device and browser type, and approximate location, and uses cookies to do so. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

How we use information

• To sign you in and keep you signed in.
• To store your saved designs and show them to you on your devices.
• To understand and improve the app.
• To respond to you if you contact us.

We do not sell your personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not share it with third parties except the service providers listed below that run the app for us.

Google user data

If you sign in with Google, we use your email address, name and profile picture only to create and identify your Gemwright account and to show your name and picture in the app. We do not use Google user data for any other purpose, do not transfer it to others except as needed to provide the app, and do not use it for advertising. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Service providers

• Supabase: account sign-in and storage of saved designs.
• Cloudflare: hosting of the website.
• Google: optional sign-in with your Google account.
• Microsoft Clarity: usage analytics.
• Ko-fi: if you choose to support us, payment is handled entirely by Ko-fi under its own privacy policy. We never see your card details.

Data retention and deletion

Your saved designs are kept until you delete them or delete your account. You can delete any design from your portfolio at any time. To delete your account and all of its data, email us at [email protected] and we will delete it within 30 days. Signing out removes your account’s designs from that browser; data kept only in your browser can be removed by clearing the site’s data.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Saved designs are protected so that each account can only read and change its own designs. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Children

Gemwright is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or to object to certain uses of it. To make a request, email [email protected].

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above.
